Within the project “Green buildings shared green future-GREEN” started realization of the main activities of the project, construction of the administrative building of the Municipality of Kocani and change their energy efficiency from Class D to Class B.
Therefore on 17th May 2017 (Wednesday) in the Municipality of Kocani, representatives from the Center for Development of East Planning Region as a carrier of the project and the Municipality of Kocani as a partner in the project held a coordination meeting with the selected contractor construction company “Anol Impex” – Skopje and the company responsible for the professional supervision over the object “Studio Atrium” – Stip.
The purpose of the meeting was officially introducing the work of the contractor, examining the object (the administrative building of the Municipality of Kocani) by experts and discussion about the dynamic plan for the works.
Over the next 8 (eight) months as of December of the current year should change its facade, complete change of external windows and doors, roof reconstruction of existing facilities, construction of a green roof on the new building as a single sample in the region, setting a lift and adaptation of toilets for people with physical disabilities.
The coordination meeting was to highlight the need for making a precise action plan for the performance of construction work so as not to disrupt or stop the work of the institution as a necessary service to the citizens.
Mayor Ratko Dimitrov pointed out that along with these construction activities Municipality of Kocani will work to complete replacement of old electrical installation and the outside entering the building.
The project “Green buildings shared green future” is financed by Interreg IPA – Cross-Border Cooperation between Macedonia and Bulgaria, Center for Development of East Planning Region is the Lead Partner in collaboration with District Administration Blagoevgrad as a partner.
The total value of the project is 398 thousand euros, and the deadline is October 2018.
The project promotes cooperation and innovative practices related to the protection and preservation of the environment through the use of new technologies and measures in the course of implementation, exchange of experiences and best practices between the two regions.
The construction activities for reconstruction of the municipal building in Kocani are started.
