The Center for Development of the East Planning Region on the 12th and 13th of September in the Conference Hall of the Multimedia Center “Kiro Gligorov” in Stip is organizing the International Conference “Good Practices for Regional Development in the East Region”.

he conference was organized within the framework of the project “Sustainable and inclusive Balanced Regional Development” funded by the Ministry of Local Self-Government and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
The purpose of the conference is to raise awareness of balanced regional development and to foster cooperation and networking of key stakeholders from the Eastern region and regions in the neighboring countries contributing to regional development.
The conference includes 7 thematic sessions, in which more than 20 speakers from the country and abroad through presentations, panel and plenary discussions, as well as thematic discussions in working groups will share experiences and good practices relevant to the development of the Eastern region. and identify opportunities for joint initiatives.

Overall objective:
Raise public and institutional awareness of balanced regional development in the East Region

Specific objectives:
Strengthen the exchange of good practices, knowledge and policies in the field of balanced regional development.
To stimulate networking and co-operation activities within the East region (internal networking) and between the East region and the SEE regions (external networking)
Identify joint initiatives within the Eastern region and between the Eastern region and the SEE regions

The conference was attended by more than 70 representatives from: Centers for Development of Planning Regions, Municipalities, Public Utilities, CSOs, SMEs and Entrepreneurs, SME Support Organizations, Ministries, Agencies and Institutions at National Level, Experts, Donor Organizations, NGOs .
