In order to strengthen the entrepreneurial thought and entrepreneurial works among the residents of the East Planning Region, especially among young people, on 28th April 2016 it was implemented event dedicated to the Global Entrepreneurship Week. The event was attended by around 40 young people, current and potential entrepreneurs from the East Planning Region.
The event was opened by The Head of the Centre for Development of East Planning Region, Mrs. Dragica Zdraveva with introductory speech talked about the possibilities of current and future entrepreneurs offered by the Centre, and since last year and the Regional Business Center for support and consulting services for small and medium enterprises in the East Planning Region. The representative of the Programme for United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Republic of Macedonia – Mr. Dragan Ristovski informed the participants about the programs and measures that UNDP, in cooperation with the Government of the Republic Macedonia and the relevant Ministries, offers for current entrepreneurs, but also for young people who wish to start their own business.
As part of this event, Mr. Naum Barzov, from AD Bargala, Shtip, presented the beginnings of one of the most successful companies operating on the territory of Shtip – company specialized in the footwear industry – AD Bargala.
This event was organized within the project “Establishment of Business Center for support and consulting services for small and medium enterprises in the East Planning Region” which is technically and financially assisted by the Ministry of Local Government and Development Programme of the United Nations ( UNDP).
